Wheels with tires in 1:24 scale, intended for a model of the BMW 2002 turbo. The wheel rims have a diameter of fourteen inches.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BMW 2002 turbo was the top form of the compact 02 series of the first half of the seventies. Against the ordinary versions it received a turbocharged engine, widened fenders and a striking color scheme, so the car comes across as sharper than the rest of the series. Part of a body like that are wheels seated right at the very edge of the fender, a detail on which the overall impression of a finished model rests.
The set brings complete wheels in 1:24 scale, that is fourteen-inch wheel rims together with tires. A diameter of fourteen inches corresponds in reduction to just under fifteen millimeters. The parts are intended to be swapped for the wheels supplied in a kit.
Before you start gluing, try the wheels dry on the axles from the kit. The seating differs between individual manufacturers and sometimes the pin has to be narrowed or the hole widened. Cut the excess material and the marks left by production away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder so that the circumference of the rim stays round. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not take. The tire and the rim are more comfortable to paint separately and to join only at the end.
The set is intended for modelers who want wheels more faithful than the parts from the box on a build of the 02 series, and for those looking for a period fourteen-inch wheel for another build of a similar time. Choose a suitable glue according to the material of the parts and go by the manufacturer's instructions. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
