Super Asurada AKF-11 is a plastic kit of a racing machine from the world of the Japanese animated series Cyber Formula in 1:24 from the maker Aoshima.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the fictional Super Asurada AKF-11 racing machine, which comes from the Japanese animated series Cyber Formula. The model is built by the Japanese maker Aoshima, which runs the machines from this series as a line of its own in 1:24. Aoshima reissues the individual titles, so the same machine comes out in several releases alongside one another. When choosing, therefore, go by the exact designation of the machine and by the release.
Cyber Formula is a fictional racing series of the future, not a real motor sport. The machines in it combine the shapes of a single-seater with an enclosed cabin, covered wheels and extensive aerodynamic items, so they look like a cross between a formula car and an endurance racing prototype. The Super Asurada AKF-11 is one of the main machines of the series, and its AKF-11 designation refers to a particular generation of the car. Because the subject is invented, the model has no real technical counterpart and its shapes come from the animated original.
A body of this kind lives off a smooth surface, so it pays to sand the mold seams and the traces of the sprue gates carefully and to spray the whole part with filler primer. Apply the paint with an airbrush in several thin coats, use a gloss clear coat under the decals and settle the surface only with the final clear coat to the degree of gloss you want. Mask the cockpit glazing before spraying and glue it with a glue that does not react aggressively with clear plastic. Handle color transitions and the lines between body parts with masking tape, not with a brush. Given the size of the parts in 1:24, it is a good idea to put the whole car together dry before painting and to check the fit.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
