1:24 Female Delivery Driver 1Minju

The figure

This is a standalone figure of a woman in the role of a delivery driver, that is the kind of figure a modeling scene tends to need and which is at the same time harder to come by. 1:24 scale is among the most widespread for car models, so the figure suits a scene with a van, with a scooter or beside a car parked in front of a house. The designation in the name sets this item apart from the other figures in the same series.

What it is suited to

A human figure beside a car immediately shows how large the car really is and hints to the viewer at the action of the whole scene. While a car model on its own stays a shop window, a model with a figure already tells of a particular moment. It comes into its own in a city street diorama, at a loading dock and as an addition to a display case beside a finished model.

Building and painting tips

Cut surplus material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and carefully sand off the remainder, so as not to disturb the surface of the clothing or the face. Wash and degrease the figure before painting, or the paint will not hold well on a smooth surface. Choose the glue according to the material given on the packaging and the particular procedure according to the manufacturer's instructions. Build up the skin in layers: a base shade, a darker tone into the folds and the features, a lighter touch on the forehead, the nose and the cheekbones. The clothing benefits from a fine accent on the seams and hems. Finally unify the whole figure with a matte clear coat and keep any gloss to the eyes and small metal details.
