The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was the top sporting derivative of the Escort, produced from the beginning of the 1990s. It was powered by a turbocharged Cosworth four-cylinder (the YB series) combined with permanent all-wheel drive, which made the car a feared rival in Group A competition and a sought-after road sports car alike. Its characteristic features were the prominent twin rear wing and the flared fenders. The car collected successes in the World Rally Championship on asphalt and gravel stages alike and remains to this day one of the cult cars of its era, which collectors and modelers reach for especially gladly.
With a car model it pays to spend time on the body - once the seams are filled, apply a primer and spray the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, and cover it with a gloss clear coat. Glue the chrome and clear parts so that no traces of adhesive remain. Apply the sponsor and competition decals onto a perfectly smooth finish and fix them with a decal softener.
