A set of Decalcas decals in 1:24 scale is intended for a model of the Ford Fiesta WRC in the form in which it appeared at the M-Sport World Rally team in the 2018 season. It is not a kit, but an accessory for finishing a body.
The Fiesta WRC belongs to the generation of competition specials that the rules allowed from 2017 to have a wider body, pronounced aerodynamic wings and higher power; the cars noticeably hardened with it, both in looks and in times. The M-Sport team built a base for works and private crews alike with them, and in 2018 the Greek driver Jourdan Serderidis with his co-driver Frederik Miclotte lined up with one of the Fiestas at the German round of the world championship.
A modern body is put together from recesses, edges and spoiler strips, so the motifs cannot be seated in one stroke. Work from the center of an area toward the edges, soften the film gradually and, where it passes over an edge, fix it before the tension manages to pull it back. At the end look the model over against the light to see whether a small fold has stayed somewhere; in shadow it is missed, under varnish it stays forever.
