Junkers Ju 87B-2, 3D-printed color cockpit details on decal paper in 1:24 scale will replace the flat instrument panels in a large dive bomber. The sheet is intended for the Trumpeter kit.

This set from the manufacturer Red Fox Studio is neither a model nor a resin part. They are interior details printed three-dimensionally, already colored and carried on decal paper. They are transferred onto the model in the same way as a decal: you cut them out, immerse them in water and settle them on the appropriate part of the kit. The result is instrument panels and panels with raised dials, legible faces and edges that would be painted with a brush only with great difficulty. The sheet is prepared for the parts of the Trumpeter kit.
A large scale is the most rewarding as well as the most demanding for this type of accessory. The cockpit of the Ju 87B-2 is clearly visible and open on a model of this size, so the eye falls on flat printing in plastic at once. At the same time it holds that the larger the scale, the larger the area of a panel and the more work with shaping it. The three-dimensional surface of the decal manages to keep the impression of real instruments with glasses and bezels even in a large scale.
First rid the part of the kit onto which a detail is to be applied of its molded relief and smooth the area. Paint the surface a dark shade and coat it with gloss varnish, as on a matte surface the decal would silver. Immerse the cut-out piece in lukewarm water for a few seconds, let it rest and slide it into place. Handle the pressing with a decal softener and a soft brush, so that the material settles into the recesses. Once it has dried, go over the area with semi-matte varnish, and you can liven the glasses of the dials up with a drop of clear varnish.
The set is an accessory to a model, not a kit in its own right. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
