1:24 Kate - I'll be right there

Kate figure 1:24 (Master Box, the Dangerous Curves series)

This is an injection-molded plastic figure of a young woman in 1:24 scale from the Dangerous Curves range by Master Box. The figure is rendered in civilian clothes, talking on a cell phone and holding a handbag. The figure serves to bring dioramas and display scenes to life and to complete models of cars or urban scenes.

The real subject and the workmanship

The Dangerous Curves range offers figures of women in ordinary civilian situations and is popular for matching models of cars in 1:24 scale. The parts are injection-molded in plastic on a common sprue; thanks to the smaller number of parts the assembly is straightforward.

Building and painting tips

• Separate the parts carefully from the sprue and clean up the parting lines.
• Glue with liquid cement for plastic; sand the joints before painting.
• The skin and the clothing come out best when painted in shades with smooth transitions and subtle shading.
• Bring out the small details (the phone, the accessories) with a dry brush or a light wash.

Who the model is for

• Modelers building car models in 1:24 scale who are looking for a figure accessory.
• Builders of dioramas and urban scenes with contemporary themes.
• Anyone interested in practicing the painting of figures and skin.

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
