A Decalcas decal set in 1:24 scale for a model of the MG Metro 6R4, which the name ties to the sponsor Golden Wonder and to the 1986 season. It is transferred onto a finished body; the model itself is not in the package.
The 1986 season was the last one for Group B – after a series of serious accidents these cars were stepped back from and the development stages being prepared never reached the rallies. The Metro 6R4 lost its future by that before it managed to make full use of it. A number of the cars built therefore went to private crews, to rallycross and to circuit events, where they raced for long years more. The sponsor colors of that time thus stayed visible on the courses even after the end of the category for which the car was created.
Choose the final treatment of the surface according to how the model is to look. A uniform gloss over the whole body will even the markings out with the paint, except that period competition cars tended to be dusty and more matte. The approach is simple: first a glossy layer for the sake of seating the motifs, after drying a matte or semi-gloss varnish over them according to the resulting impression.
The goods are a decal set. A kit and modeling chemicals are not enclosed.
