This set of photo-etched parts from Tamiya lifts the detail of a model of the Nissan GT-R sports coupe in 1:24 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory of thin metal sheet, which replaces or enriches selected plastic features with the fine, crisp and realistic detail that can be created in this material.
The set brings metal grilles for the front fascia and the intake openings in the bumper, a mesh for the air duct of the rear bumper, front and rear brake discs, features of the intercooler, a fuel filler cap, an accelerator and a brake pedal as well as a footrest, shift paddles on the steering column, two versions of license plates, a type plate and a metal exhaust tip. The combination of these parts gives the exterior and the interior considerably greater realism.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends exactly over the edge of a ruler or in a bending tool. Glue the small parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); flatter metal features can also be fixed with adhesive for photo-etch. Degrease the metal before painting and treat it with primer so that the paint holds.
This is a set of photo-etched accessories, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
