A set of photo-etched parts for racing seat belts for a car model in 1:24 scale, in red. The PE in the designation stands for photo-etch, the thin metal sheet from which the parts are cut out, bent and glued.
On a car model the interior is visible through the glazing, and a seat without a harness turns it into a half-empty shell. An injection-molded kit at best hints at the belt with flat relief on the seat back, where it disappears as soon as the seam is sanded. The photo-etched version, by contrast, really is thin, so the buckles, eyelets and adjusters keep sharp edges even at close range. Red also draws the eye, in a dark interior, to exactly the place where the model has had the most work.
For builders of competition and modified cars who do not mind working with small metal parts. Try the fit dry first, as the shape of the seat back differs from seat to seat and the length of the belt has to be adapted. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
