For modelers they are a rewarding accessory for two reasons at once. A character beside a car gives away at once how big the model is, and it gives the whole scene a story that a car standing on its own does not have.

Building and painting tips

Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down. Wash and degrease the figure before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the surface. The parts are not polystyrene, so join them with cyanoacrylate glue. The skin is the most demanding: apply a base shade, add a thin wash into the shadows under the chin and in the folds, and lighten the raised places. Build the face on two details, on the eyes and on the lips, as more will not come into play at this scale anyway. The clothing can take more saturated colors than the skin, and a gloss varnish on the shoes or on the accessories will bring the scene to life.
