The SPX designation refers to a shell from the range of the Italian brand Sparco, and the name also gives the letter of the line under which the manufacturer carries this set.
Sparco came about in Turin and equips crews across rallies and circuits alike: besides seats it makes belts, race suits, helmets and steering wheels. Its products appear from amateur events all the way to championship series, so a seat with its shape suits practically any racing cabin regardless of the make of car.
A shell looks believable when the surface is divided into two textures: a smooth outer side and matte upholstery inside. A lighter edge around the circumference draws the shape of the side support out. The openings for the belts are worth opening up with a sharp point, so that a belt really can be threaded through them. Fit the seat to the floor only after the cage or the frame is glued in, otherwise it is hard to handle in place. If you are building a particular car, compare the angle of the backrest with a photograph of its cabin.
