The Toyota GR Supra, which the carmaker presented in 2019, became one of the most frequently modified modern coupes. The Japanese brand Voltex supplies aerodynamic parts for it, among them a large GT type rear wing: a flat airfoil carried on uprights high above the trunk lid, that is, in airflow that has not yet lost energy by passing over the body. The number in the designation tells apart the individual profiles in the brand's range, in this case type twelve.
The set brings parts for building this wing on a model in 1:24 scale. According to the name it is intended for Tamiya kits with the kit numbers 24351 and 24371, so the shape of the mounts matches the rear end of those models and there is no need to work out where and at what angle to seat the wing.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the surfaces flat; on a long airfoil every irregularity shows up in the reflections. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, and choose the glue according to the material, with super glue serving as the all-round option. Glue the wing on only after the body has been painted, and check dry beforehand that both uprights stand at the same height and that the airfoil is parallel with the rear end; a tilted wing is visible from every angle on a finished model.
