1:16 Yugoslav helmet M59/85 (detail) is a detail accessory for figures in 1:16 scale - a Yugoslav military helmet of the M59/85 pattern.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail accessory for figures and dioramas in 1:16 scale represents a Yugoslav military helmet of the M59/85 pattern. It is not a figure and not a kit, but a separate part with which a less successful helmet from the original set is replaced, or which is laid into a scene as set-aside gear. The marking in the parenthesis tells this detail item apart from the other variants of the same line.
The M59/85 pattern helmet was the standard steel helmet of the Yugoslav army in the second half of the twentieth century. Its characteristic shape differs markedly from the helmets of both Western and Eastern armies, so it is a very strong clue for identifying a unit in a scene. It works with figures from the period from the sixties through to the nineties.
Clean the part up, wash it in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry. In the large 1:16 scale every detail shows, so a careful primer coat and smooth shading pay off. Do not forget to set the inside of the helmet apart from the shell, and pick out the straps and the chinstrap with a fine brush. A matte varnish at the end will unify the surface and hold down unwanted gloss.
This is a separate detail part, not a figure and not a kit.
