An injection-molded plastic figure of a German non-commissioned officer (Unterscharführer) of the Second World War period in the large 1:16 scale from the manufacturer Das Werk. The figure depicts a member of the Wiking division during the fighting in Hungary in 1945. The large 1:16 scale allows an exceptionally detailed rendering of the face, the uniform and the gear. Decals with markings complete the package.
The closing phase of the war brought heavy fighting in Hungary, where German units conducted withdrawal and counterattack operations. The rank of Unterscharführer corresponded to a junior non-commissioned grade. The figure is conceived purely factually as a historical military subject from a particular theater and time and will serve as a striking element of a 1945 diorama.
Clean the parts of flash and glue them with liquid cement for plastic, then fill the seams. In the large 1:16 scale the painting of the face stands out: work with layered flesh shades, shadows and highlights. For the camouflage patterns of the uniform, patient layering of colors and fine washing pay off. Apply the enclosed decals over a smooth base with a decal softener. Treat the figure with a primer before painting.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
