An injection-molded plastic kit of the American 1965 Pontiac GTO coupe from the AMT brand in 1:25 scale. It belongs to the Craftsman Plus range, which is simplified for a quick and relaxed build, yet still offers a faithful look of the real subject. The parts are molded in white and chrome plated, and the package is completed by rubber tires and a sheet of decals. The assembled model measures roughly twenty centimeters.
The Pontiac GTO tends to be described as the car that started the era of American muscle cars. The combination of a powerful V8 in a mid-size body made it an icon in the mid-1960s and an object of desire for a young generation of drivers.
The Craftsman Plus range uses a simplified engine block and a smaller number of parts, so the build is quick even for beginners. Glue the parts with a liquid cement for plastic, treat the body with a primer and spray it in thin coats. Glue the chrome plated parts and the glazing on at the end with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
