Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Ford V8-G81A staff car in the cabriolet form in 1:35 scale from the maker Roden. The model captures the elegant passenger car derived from an American design, which during the war served as a staff and passenger car of German units. The box offers a choice of markings for several cars from various services.
The Ford V8-G81A was a passenger car produced at the German branch of the Ford group at the end of the 1930s on the basis of the American Ford V8. Over eight thousand of them were built and with the outbreak of the war many were requisitioned from private owners and handed over to the army. The cars served mainly with combat units as personal transport for officers of middle command; the cabriolet with its open body was one of the more representative forms.
Finish and paint the chassis, the engine and the interior before the body is seated; on a cabriolet the interior stays well visible, so give attention to the seats and the dashboard. The painted surfaces of the body need a smooth base, ideally sprayed with an airbrush, and possibly a gloss clear compatible with the paint used. Keep the patina restrained; on a staff car fine dust and a suggestion of operational wear suit better than heavy mud.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
