A resin detail accessory from Quickboost for models of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 fighter in 1:48 scale. The parts are cast from clear (transparent) resin and have a bulb suggested inside, which makes it possible to render the wingtip navigation (position) lights realistically. It is not an aircraft kit but a stand-alone upgrade part that replaces the opaque plastic elements.
The Bf 109K-4 was one of the last production versions of the legendary German fighter of the end of the Second World War, with a more powerful engine and aerodynamic refinements. The position lights on the wingtips are among the small but, on a close look, very noticeable features.
Cut the clear parts off carefully and glue them with a cement suitable for clear parts (for example a clear modeling glue or a super glue with no risk of fogging). You get the color effect of the bulb with a thin coat of clear paint from inside; mask the surroundings so that the lights stay transparent.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as separate resin parts. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
