Dark Rose Tan is a darker sandy tone with a pink cast from the Opaque Colors modeling line by Green Stuff World. The name of the line denotes, with this maker, opaque shades, that is paints meant for covering a surface. This type of shade is a link in a palette: it lies between beige and pink, and so it manages transitions on which purely beige or purely pink tones do not hold up.
Where the color is used
On figures it is the mid tones and shadows of skin, the lips and the ears, where skin needs more pink. On dioramas it is terracotta, southern plaster, mud brick masonry, flowerpots and vessels. On vehicles and buildings it is faded wood, dusty surfaces and sandy-toned finishes. It is also used as an intermediate step with which to soften too sharp a jump between light skin and a dark shadow.
It is a color for modelers of figures and busts who are working on skin, and for builders of dioramas with mud brick and terracotta elements. Shades from one line mix with each other without trouble, so you can build your own skin scale from shadow to light out of them. The paint can be used on plastic, resin and metal models, provided the surface is clean and prepared with a primer.
Keep out of the reach of children. Work on a protected surface and in a well-ventilated room, and wash your hands afterward.
