Opaque Colors Dead Flesh is a Green Stuff World acrylic paint in a pale greenish flesh shade for fantasy figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
Dead Flesh is a shade from the Opaque Colors acrylic line of the Green Stuff World marque that aims at one particular job: unhealthy, lifeless skin. It is a pale tone with a greenish to grayish shift, that is exactly what an ordinary pink flesh color cannot manage. The line carries the Opaque designation, that is covering, and the individual shades mix with one another, so Dead Flesh can be used on its own and as a component of your own skin palette.
Why unhealthy skin has a shade of its own
Living skin has a warm undertone, and painters build it from pink through ocher to beige. As soon as a figure is meant to look sick, drowned, undead or simply inhuman, that whole procedure falls apart, because a warm undertone always reads as healthy. A cool green-gray base solves the problem from the start.
The paint is meant above all for figure painters of the fantasy and horror genres, but it will serve anyone who needs a pale surface with a cool shift. Apply thin coats and let them dry properly, or the transition between flesh tones will easily smear. Stir the contents before work.
Keep in a well-closed container out of the reach of children and ventilate while working.
