This injection-molded plastic kit captures one of the most modern versions of the German Leopard 2 main battle tank. Despite the small scale the set offers surprisingly rich detail: a well-worked hull and turret, finely shaped accessories and hatches that can be opened. Photo-etched parts and a metal gun barrel are included as well, and they raise the finished model above the usual standard for this size.
The Leopard 2A7 is an upgrade standard of the proven Leopard 2 tank. The design emphasizes better crew protection, improved electronics and fire control systems and better capabilities in urban combat and in open terrain. It ranks among the most capable tanks of the present day and serves with several European armies.
Assemble the link-and-length tracks and let them grab directly on the running gear so that they take the correct sag. Finish and paint the running gear and the lower hull before you close the superstructure up. A thin cement for plastic, a base coat through an airbrush and a final patina of washes and pigments suit a small model, bringing out the surface texture and the mud thrown up on the run.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
