Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat painting masks 1:48 (Art Scale)

This is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive painting masks in kabuki tape intended for the plastic model of the Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The one-sided express fit version means that the masks cover the outside of the glazing and are shaped exactly to the outline of the individual parts, so there is no lengthy cutting out of tape. The cutouts match the parts of the Eduard kit, which is the kit the set is used with; with another manufacturer the shapes differ.

Use

• Lift the masks carefully off the backing and stick them on the canopy frames and the other glazed parts.
• Press the edges down carefully so that no paint creeps under the tape.
• Spray the frames in the airframe color, let them dry and take the masks off.
• The set also makes masking the wheels and other small areas easier if they are on the sheet.

Who the set is for

Suited to modelers who want sharp, even frames on the glazing without preparing masks by hand. Kabuki tape follows curved surfaces well and leaves no adhesive behind when it is taken off.

This is an accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
