The Avia B-534 was the peak of the Czechoslovak prewar fighter school and in its time it was among the best performing biplanes in the world. It was powered by a Hispano-Suiza V12 engine built under license, the design combined a metal frame with fabric covering, and the machine excelled in agility and in rate of climb. It was built in several series, which differed from one another in the solution of the cockpit, the armament and details of the landing gear; the second series is among the earlier ones. The aircraft served with the Czechoslovak Air Force and after 1939 they reached further operators in Central and Southeastern Europe, so there are unusually many color possibilities with this type.
The fabric areas of a biplane tend to be uneven, so apply the decal on a gloss base and help yourself with decal softener, so that the motif follows the ribs of the covering. Cut the motifs out individually, soak them briefly in lukewarm water and move them with a soft brush. Soak the excess water up with a paper towel and let the sheet dry out thoroughly, and only then unify the area with matte varnish.
