A track set in 1:35 scale for the French FCM 36 light tank and for the two self-propelled conversions on its chassis, the PaK 40 gun carrier and the leFH 16 howitzer.
Responsibility details are not available.
The FCM 36 was a French light tank of the late 1930s, recognizable by the angular outline of its hull and turret. Two self-propelled conversions that the name of the set lists were later built on its chassis: a carrier for the PaK 40 anti-tank gun and a self-propelled leFH 16 howitzer. All three machines share the same running gear, so one track set covers the whole trio and you do not have to look for a separate one for each version.
On these machines the track is clearly visible from the side, because the hull is low and the space above the wheels is open. Fit it only once the road wheels are finished and the drive sprocket and the idler wheel sit firmly in line. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder so that the mating surfaces meet. The material of the parts and the recommended glue are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Wash and degrease the tracks before painting.
Apply a dark base, highlight the upper faces of the links once it has dried and finally add dust or mud to match the setting you place the model in. Shine belongs only on the mating surfaces and on the sides of the guide horns; the rest of the track stays matte. Build the weathering up in thin layers so that the relief stays apparent.
The set suits modelers who build French vehicles of 1940 or their later conversions. Paints, glue and other building materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
