A set of small warning beacons in 1:48 scale for adding to vehicle models and scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
A warning beacon is a small thing that does a lot of work on a model. It goes where it has to be seen from a distance, that is on cab roofs, on protective frames and on bodies, and it immediately gives away that the machine belongs to vehicles working on roads, on an airfield or inside a garrison compound. On a model it also acts as a spot of color in an otherwise single-shade whole and draws the eye to the place you want to emphasize.
Small parts of warning beacons in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory that you place on the model yourself; it is not a kit nor a part of one. The exact number of parts and their finish are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Work over a light tray and with tweezers so that a part cut free does not get lost. Cut off the surplus material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder gently. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. A suitable glue and the surface preparation are given in the manufacturer's instructions. On the real thing the beacon lens tends to be orange or blue; the impression of translucent glass comes from a thin layer of translucent paint applied over a light undercoat and a drop of gloss varnish at the end. Glue the beacon on only once the model is sprayed.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
