Flat rivets in the 1.2 mm size from the range of small modeling material of the GAS HANS brand. The head is low and flat, so on the surface it creates no bulge but a distinct disc with a sharp edge. It is not a kit and not a part of a model: it is an add-on material with which riveted joints on a model are added to, filled in or replaced.
Lay the surface out beforehand: with larger flat heads an irregular distance from the edge of the part shows immediately. The base has to be sanded and free of dust so that the head seats on its whole face. Spray the paint on in thin layers; the flat shape takes more than fine rivets do, but under a heavy coat the outline will round over and the effect will be lost. The surface benefits most from a wash, which runs around the edge of the head and gives it a shadow. If you weather the model further with pigments, leave a little settled dust around the rivets: it looks natural.
