A set of self-adhesive masking templates in 1:32 scale by Art Scale in the double-sided masking form. The set contains masks for the outside and for the inside of the canopy of a model of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft. Because both sides are masked, the canopy frames get the right color seen from outside and from the interior alike, which in the large 1:32 scale shows to particular effect.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was an American single-engined piston attack aircraft. Although it came about at the end of the Second World War, it became famous only in the wars in Korea and Vietnam, where its large bomb load and long endurance let it serve for close support of ground troops and for rescue missions. Its rugged construction made it a legend.
Mask and spray the inside of the canopy in the interior color first, and once that has dried move the masks to the outside and spray the final shade. Work in layers and press the edges down with a toothpick. Double-sided masking is more demanding, but the result is more convincing than single-sided.
This is a masking set, not a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
