Single-sided cut masks for the glazing of an A-20J/K Havoc model in 1:32 scale, prepared for the HK Models kit.

Pre-cut masking pieces for an A-20J/K Havoc model in 1:32 scale, shaped for the HK Models kit. The single-sided form covers the glazing from the outside, so the frames can be sprayed straight in the color of the aircraft's upper surfaces.
The glazing is the first thing a viewer notices on a finished model. Tape cut by hand invites inaccuracies: the line wanders, a frame comes out wider in one place and narrower in another, and the whole impression the model makes suffers for it. A cut mask holds the shape of the frame as the kit gives it, so measuring and correcting fall away and the work on the cockpit comes down to tens of minutes.
First wash and degrease the glazing so that the mask holds. Stick the pieces on before spraying, press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a blunt tip and check them against the light to see whether a gap has been left anywhere. Apply the paint in thin coats and perpendicular to the surface, because under an angled spray the paint likes to creep underneath. Take the mask off as soon as the paint has dried; a sharp frame edge is then left under the border.
For modelers who are building the A-20 in 1:32 scale and want sharp cockpit frames without lengthy cutting. The kit and the paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
