The set corresponds to the late version of the cockpit of the A-7E Corsair II attack aircraft and serves to raise the detail of a plastic kit markedly. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the cockpit tub of a kit with more faithfully worked parts: the instrument panel, the side panels, the stick, the seat and further elements. The package is usually complemented by fine photo-etched components.
The A-7E Corsair II was a subsonic carrier-based attack aircraft of American manufacture, derived from the F-8 Crusader fighter. The A-7E version with a more powerful jet engine represented the main strike type of the US Navy and served for a number of decades. The late cockpits differed in the arrangement of the instruments and the avionics compared with the earlier machines.
First wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing it into the fuselage, check the fit with the particular kit. It is advisable to spray the cockpit with a base color first and to bring out the details with a dark wash and a dry brush.
The resin set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which is not part of the package. Glue, paints and the model itself are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
