A6M5 Zero wheel bays 1:32 is an aftermarket set of cast resin parts for faithful landing gear bays on the Japanese fighter. It is not a model but an accessory for an injection-molded kit in 1:32 scale (for the Tamiya kit).

This set is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket upgrade for a plastic kit. It holds cast resin parts with which you replace the simplified landing gear bays from the box with faithfully detailed spaces complete with lines and structure. The set is intended for the injection-molded Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero model in 1:32 scale (the kit from Tamiya).
The A6M Zero was the best known Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, famous for its long range and agility. The A6M5 version was one of the most widely built. The landing gear bays are among the places where plastic parts offer only a crude suggestion; the resin set replaces them with a crisply cast structure that, once painted and washed, brings the view of the model's underside to life.
First separate the parts from the casting blocks with a fine saw or a cutter and wash them free of mold release agent. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Allow for some fine tuning of the fit and possible reworking of the kit's plastic parts; when sanding resin, protect your airways. It pays to paint and shade the bays before closing the lower part of the fuselage.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
