The set 1:32 A6M5 Zero TFace carries masking templates for both sides of the glazing of the Japanese carrier fighter. The inside of the canopy can therefore be sprayed in a different color from the outside.
Responsibility details are not available.
The TFace designation at Eduard means a double set of templates: one for the outer framing of the canopy and the other for the same frames from the inside. The cockpit can therefore be sprayed in an interior shade from the inner side and only then with camouflage from the outside, with no paint running onto the transparent area anywhere. The shapes are cut for 1:32 scale and correspond to the sliding canopy of the Mitsubishi A6M5 aircraft.
The A6M5 variant of 1943, known in service as the Model 52, had a shortened wing with rounded tips, a strengthened skin and, instead of a common collector, individual exhaust pipes which added a little thrust. The machine came into being at two different plants and the small deviations between them showed in the equipment of the cockpit as well. The long glazed cover with its dense framing stayed unchanged and in a large scale it represents the most fine work during painting, because the frames are numerous and narrow.
The inner templates and the interior coat come first; once they have dried, the outer set and the camouflage are added. Hold the part by the edge of the frame while handling it, as fingerprints are removed from fresh varnish only with difficulty.
It is sold separately, with no kit and no paints.
