A resin and 3D printed kit from the Polish brand Lukgraph, recommended for experienced modelers. The subject is the Austro-Hungarian license-built variant of the Albatros D.III fighter biplane, with the PREMIUM designation added in the title.
The original German Albatros D.III was also built under license at Wiener Neustadt, where the aircraft was given a more powerful engine, a stronger structure and, in the later batches, the characteristic blunt nose without a propeller spinner. The Austro-Hungarian examples are regarded as the best version of the whole type, and leading pilots of the Danube monarchy flew them on the Italian and Eastern Fronts alike.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue, that is, with super glue, not with ordinary cement for plastic. Protect your airways when sanding and work wet if you can, because resin dust is fine. Leave the tensioning of the bracing between the wings until the end, when the model has been varnished.
The product is supplied as a resin kit, that is, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and material for the bracing are not enclosed, unless stated otherwise.
