Eduard Big Ed 1:32 B-17G Flying Fortress PART I is a collection of photo-etched parts and masks for a detailed build of the large model of this bomber. It is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Big Ed set from the Czech maker Eduard brings the first part of the accessories for the large plastic model of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress in 1:32 scale together into a single box. It is a set of details, not a model. The box contains several separate photo-etched sets, among them pre-painted self-adhesive photo-etched parts for the interior of the pilots' compartment and for the forward interior of the navigator's and bombardier's compartment, with further photo-etched parts for the airframe and masks.
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress was the definitive and most numerous version of the famous American Flying Fortress of the Second World War. The hallmark of the G version was the chin turret with a pair of machine guns under the nose, which improved the defense against head-on attacks by fighters. The bomber made its name for its toughness and for its ability to bring its crew home even with heavy damage.
The large 1:32 scale places high demands on the interior, which is why the pre-painted self-adhesive photo-etched parts lift the look of the cockpit and the nose compartment considerably. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate; the self-adhesive elements can be fixed directly. The PART I designation indicates that this is the first of a series of accessory sets.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
