1:32 Bell AH-1G Cobra part 7 - HML367 Scarface is an Art Scale decal set for the AH-1G attack helicopter in 1:32 scale. The seventh part of the series carries the markings of the unit nicknamed Scarface.

This is a stand-alone decal sheet, not a model and not accessory parts. The set is intended for building the AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter in 1:32 scale and it is the seventh part of the decal series that Art Scale issues for this type in turn. The individual parts do not overlap; each brings different markings, so they can be combined. The designation HML-367 belongs to a Marine Corps unit nicknamed Scarface. Which particular machines the sheet holds should be checked on the packaging of the set.
A decal holds only on a smooth glossy surface. So varnish the painted area with gloss varnish and let it cure completely. Cut the motif out as close to the printing as possible, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and set it down on a paper towel until the film releases from the backing paper of its own accord. Then slide it into place, press the water out with a soft brush from the center to the edges and draw off the excess. Over engraved lines and rivets a decal softener helps: start with a weaker solution and keep the strong one only for places where the decal is to be drawn down into a recess. Once dry, unify the surface with matte or semi-gloss varnish so that the edges of the carrier film disappear.
The AH-1G Cobra was the first attack helicopter brought into service that was designed for that role from the outset. It came about using the powerplant and rotor of the proven Huey line, but it was given a narrow fuselage with two seats in tandem, a rotating chin turret and hardpoints on short stub wings. This layout became the pattern for the whole later generation of attack helicopters.
