A resin detail set from Quickboost (the accessory range of the maker Aires) in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit, but a faithful replacement for the exhaust stacks of both engines for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 110 heavy fighter in the C and D versions. The castings have open exhaust outlets and a fine texture that injection-molded plastic cannot manage, while fitting them is easy and quick.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a German twin-engine heavy fighter and destroyer deployed from the beginning of the Second World War. The C and D versions were used as escort fighters, as attack machines and later as night fighters. The rows of exhausts along the sides of the engine nacelles are among the striking features of its silhouette.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The burnt metal look of the exhausts is helped along by a combination of metal shades, rusty tones and fine pigments.
This is a detail set, not an airplane model. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
