The Cessna O-2A Skymaster is the military version of a civilian twin-engine aircraft with an unusual arrangement of the power units: both piston engines sit on the centerline of the fuselage, one with a tractor propeller at the front and the other with a pusher at the rear, and the tail surfaces are carried on two booms. The military used it for observation and for directing attack aircraft onto targets, that is for work in which you fly slowly, low and for a long time. That is exactly why it is popular among modelers: it is unmistakable, and in 1:32 scale it looks very distinctive on a shelf beside fighters.

The method of application differs between individual ranges, so look it up in the manufacturer's instructions. With a wet decal the tried and tested procedure applies: cut the motif out close to the edge, lay it on a smooth glossy surface, help yourself with a decal softener and draw the surplus water off with a cloth. On matte varnish a decal silvers.
