This product is not an aircraft kit but a photo-etched accessory for building models in 1:32 scale. It is made by the Czech firm Brengun and aims at two groups of details that plastic molds manage only to a limited extent: the fasteners and latches of the engine cowling and the interior ribbing of visible spaces.
Cowling fasteners are small metal elements on a real aircraft that hold the removable panels in place. On plastic they tend to be suggested only by engraving and disappear entirely once the paint is sprayed. A photo-etched part is by contrast sharp and casts a shadow of its own. Interior ribs in turn give depth to the walls of landing gear bays, opened panels or the cockpit, where a molding stays smooth. The set is not tied to a single type of aircraft, so it will serve across projects under way in a large scale. The modeler decides the placement of the individual elements according to photographs of the real machine.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by twisting them in your fingers. Take the bends over a metal ruler or over a bender, so that the edge stays straight along its whole length. A drop of cyanoacrylate glue transferred with a pin is enough to attach them, because the excess runs into the surrounding engraving and floods it. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a thin primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface and will peel during handling.
