This set from the manufacturer Art Scale holds kabuki masks for the surface panels of a model of the Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 fighter in 1:32 scale. The Hawk 81-A2 was the export version of the P-40 made famous by the American Volunteer Group, the Flying Tigers. The masks let you separate and pick out the individual panels while painting, or create subtle differences of shade on the fuselage and wing surfaces, which gives the finish depth and realism.
It will be appreciated by more advanced modelers who want to take the surface finish beyond a single flat spray and who work with shades and modulation. The pieces are numbered according to the instructions.
This is an accessory to the GWH kit, not the model itself. Paints and the kit are not included in the package.
