Photo-etched parts for a model of the Douglas A-20J or A-20K Havoc in 1:32 scale. The metal details complete the kit where injection-molded plastic is too coarse.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-20 Havoc was an American twin-engine attack and light bomber aircraft of the Second World War. A pair of Wright R-2600 radial engines powered it and it stood on a nose-wheel landing gear, which at the time it appeared was not yet common on combat aircraft. The J and K renditions differ from the attack versions with a solid nose in having a fully glazed nose for the bombardier: machines equipped this way led the formation and dropped their bombs first, the others then releasing their load at their signal.
Photo-etched parts for a model in 1:32 scale. Photo-etch allows what injection-molded plastic cannot: parts of a thickness in tenths of a millimeter, crisp edges and fine pierced shapes. The list of parts and their placement on the model is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Work over the lid of a box or over a tray; a small metal part that springs away is hunted for in vain on a carpet. Separate the parts with a sharp blade pressed against the fret, not with side cutters. Apply super glue as a drop from a wire or a pin, never straight from the bottle, because the excess will mainly glue your fingers. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with primer, otherwise the finish will rub off during handling.
For modelers who build the Havoc in 1:32 scale and want detail beyond an out-of-box build. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
