1:32 Douglas A-20J/K Havoc / Boston Mk.IV bomb bay is an Eduard photo-etched set aimed exclusively at the bomb bay.
Responsibility details are not available.
A specialized Eduard set which, according to the name, deals with the bomb bay of the twin-engine Douglas, both for the American A-20J and A-20K designations and for the British Boston Mk.IV. It is a building accessory for the bomb bay; no model will come of it on its own.
The internal bomb bay sits in the middle of the fuselage between the wings. When a builder leaves it open, it opens a view into a space that makers of plastic kits usually handle only in simplified form. Photo-etched metal can capture thin stiffeners, mounting elements and the texture of the walls here in thicknesses that cannot be produced in injection-molded plastic. In a large scale that difference shows especially well, because the space is big enough to look into.
Check whether the bomb bay walls can be put into the fuselage before the halves are glued; on a large share of sets that order applies. Metal parts are harder to paint in an enclosed space, so paint them and pick out the shadows if need be before you close the assembly. Surplus cyanoacrylate glue in the corners leaves a white veil, so meter it out on the tip of a wire. If you plan to hang a load, think it through in advance, because modifying the inside afterward tends to be difficult already.
The set deals with one particular assembly and assumes that you build the rest of the model from another source.
