Clean the part in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let it dry completely, otherwise the first coat will peel. Trim the mold seams carefully with a sharp knife and run fine sandpaper over them. Apply the primer in a thin coat so that the fine transitions of the surface are not lost. If you apply the primer with an airbrush, hold it farther from the part and build the coat up in two passes. Only a part prepared like this gets the paints, ideally working from the largest areas to the smallest details.
