P-47D Thunderbolt propeller Curtiss 12ft 2in with a jig (1:72, Quickboost) is a resin accessory that replaces the plastic propeller for models of the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt.

This is NOT an airplane model but a set of precisely cast resin parts of the Quickboost brand in 1:72 scale. It replaces the plastic propeller with a faithfully shaped Curtiss Electric replacement 12 feet 2 inches in diameter and gives a model of the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt the correct blade shape. A jig for setting and gluing the blades precisely is included.
The Thunderbolt was powered by the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine and used an electrically controlled Curtiss Electric propeller. The type and the diameter of the propeller differed between production blocks, which showed markedly in the silhouette of the aircraft. This variant matches a blade 12 feet 2 inches long.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. The jig supplied keeps the blades on one axis and evenly spaced; glue them together with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do the sanding with respiratory protection. The blades are usually sprayed black with polished tips.
Supplied as an unpainted resin accessory with an assembly jig. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
