Add-on antennas for the tail surfaces of the F-15 in the US Air Force version, scale 1:32. Intended for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of add-on antennas for the tail area of the F-15 fighter in 1:32 scale, in the US Air Force version and intended for the Tamiya kit. Antennas and small covers are among the details that tend to be simplified in a kit: in plastic they come out thicker than they really are, and while sanding the seams they are moreover easily sanded away or broken off. Separate parts solve that problem and give the shapes their scale back.
The F-15 is an American twin-engine fighter with two vertical tail surfaces. It is precisely on them and around them that it carries a range of antennas and sensors whose make-up varies with the version and the period of service. When building a particular machine it therefore pays to compare the fit of the set against photographs of the subject you are building.
Cut the small parts off with a sharp blade a short distance from the part, sand the remainder and wash and degrease them before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; with thin antennas it works well to put a drop on the tip of a toothpick and seat the part with tweezers, because from the tip of a brush the glue spreads all around. Apply the paint before you fit the part, while it can still be handled safely, and leave the fitting itself to the end of the build, so that the antenna is not broken off during further work. The particular procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For builders of large F-15 models who want the small equipment to scale. This is an accessory for a kit; paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
