This is a pre-painted three-dimensional instrument panel of colored resin, not an aircraft kit. The accessory is meant for the F-16A MLU kit from Tamiya in 1:32 scale and replaces the empty instrument panel with a faithfully painted one with legible displays and imitated gloss on the glasses.

The real subject

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is an American lightweight multirole fighter. The F-16A MLU (Mid-Life Update) version is a modernization of the original F-16A aircraft that a number of European users went through - it brought new avionics and an updated cockpit close to the later blocks. The cockpit therefore has more multifunction displays than the original A version.

Use and fitting

• Separate the part from its carrier frame and glue it in place of the original panel.
• Super glue (cyanoacrylate) is ideal; modeling PVA glue can be used as well.
• The surface is finished; neither the displays nor the dials have to be painted in.

• Modelers of modern jets who want a convincing cockpit without laborious painting.
• Builders who are not satisfied with the flat instrument panel from the base kit.
• Collectors of the larger scales, where the interior is clearly visible.

This is an interior accessory, not a complete model. The base Tamiya kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
