A decal sheet for a model of the General Dynamics F-16D Fighting Falcon fighter in the large 1:32 scale from the Caracal Models brand. It is an accessory for the markings of a finished model, not a kit; you will not find the aircraft in the package. Which particular machines the sheet covers is given in the enclosed instructions.
The F-16D is the two-seat form of the Fighting Falcon. The second seat came about by extending the cockpit rearward, which took away fuel volume, and that is why a characteristic dorsal spine reaching to the tail appeared on the later batches. Besides training, two-seat machines also serve on combat tasks where a second pair of hands is an advantage. The rest of the airframe stayed the same: a slightly reclined seat, a bubble canopy with no frame along the centerline and a sidestick.
In 1:32 the decals are large and will therefore show every unevenness of the surface mercilessly. Smooth the model before application, then, and varnish it to a gloss. Apply the large areas with plenty of water under the decal so that you can still move it for a while, and push the air out with a soft brush from the center outward. Around the canopy and at the edges of the leading edges a decal softener helps, pulling the decal down into the curves.
