This resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Aires replaces the exhaust nozzles on a kit of the F-4 Phantom II aircraft in the B, C, D and N versions in 1:32 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the simplified plastic nozzles with a faithfully cast resin replica with a fine inner structure.
The F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat twin-engined multirole combat aircraft used by American as well as allied forces from the sixties. It was powered by a pair of jet engines with afterburners, whose exhaust nozzles are among the striking elements of the tail. Faithful nozzles noticeably raise the realism of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand with respiratory protection. Bring out the metallic shades and the heat-stained effects of the nozzles with dark washes and metallic paints; stir those thoroughly and apply them at the end.
The set is supplied as a resin accessory for a kit, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
