This is not a kit but an aftermarket accessory to a model of a ship in 1:700 scale. The package holds a veneer deck with a self-adhesive base and with the printed laying of the planks, cut to the shape of the deck areas of a particular kit. The set is designed for the Aoshima 045114 kit.
The Nagato was a Japanese battleship of the class of the same name, completed in 1920 with main armament of 410 mm. The year in the name of the set refers to the form of the ship from the second half of the 1920s, that is before the later extensive rebuilds, which changed the superstructures and the silhouette considerably.
Most mistakes arise from the wrong order of work. Glue the veneer on only at the moment when the hull and the superstructures are painted and dry, as once the deck is in place, every further spraying means laborious masking, and paint soaked into wood cannot be removed. If spraying after gluing cannot be avoided, cover the deck with a masking tape of low tack stuck down only around the perimeter; an aggressive tape will pull the fibers out when it is taken off. Keep the superstructures that can be fitted later put aside.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model of the ship. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
