Double-sided masks 1:32 F-86D/K Sabre Dog deal with the cockpit frames on both sides of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A variant of the set that allows for the frames to be sprayed on the outside and on the inner side of the canopy as well. On a single-seat cockpit with tall glazing the inner face of the frames is clearly visible, especially if you build the model with the sliding section open. The set therefore covers both sides of one and the same clear part.
The pilot of an interceptor had a radar scope in front of him and worked alone at night over North America. The instrument panel therefore looked different from that of a day fighter and the interior is among the most interesting things a large model has to offer. On kits the sliding section tends to be thin and clear, so through it you also see the frames on the opposite side. In a large scale it also shows how well the strips are finished from the inside.
Start with the inner side: spray it in the cockpit shade and let it cure. Then turn the part over, lay the outer stencils on and spray the primer and the top coat. Only at the end take both sets off and check the view through against a window. A small overspray can be put right with a wooden stick with a sharp edge moistened in thinner. Use that sparingly, so that it does not get under the edge and dissolve the layer underneath.
Double-sided masking takes more time than the usual procedure, but the result carries it.
