A resin accessory in 1:32 scale: a pilot seat for a model of the Gloster Gladiator. It is neither a model of the aircraft nor a complete cockpit, but a single, highly exposed part that replaces the simplified plastic molding from the kit. The number of parts and the contents of the package are stated on the box.
On a biplane with a large open cockpit cutout the seat is one of the few interior items that are genuinely visible once the fuselage is closed. Injection-molded plastic, however, has its limits on a thin-walled shell: the walls have to be thicker than the scale would call for, and the lightening holes tend to be only suggested. A resin casting is poured without those limits, so it can have a realistically thin shell, a rendered frame and possibly the attachment of the straps indicated. In 1:32 scale that difference is obvious at a glance.
Wash the part in lukewarm water with detergent to clear it of mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a knife and level the surface wet with respiratory protection: resin dust is not to be inhaled. Try the fit in the cockpit dry and correct any gaps by sanding the supports, not by force. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint over a thin primer: the base shade, a light wash into the recesses of the frame and a dry brush on the edges of the shell. If you add the straps separately, fit them only once the seat is painted.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check the fit with your kit before buying.
