1:32 Gloster Meteor F.4 with Overseas Operators is an Xtradecal decal sheet with waterslide markings for models of the British Meteor jet fighter in the F.4 version in foreign service.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a standalone sheet of waterslide decals from the British manufacturer Xtradecal intended for models of the Gloster Meteor jet fighter in the F.4 version in 1:32 scale. It is neither a kit nor a resin accessory, but printed markings with which you finish a model off in the scheme you have chosen. The subject of the sheet is the machines of foreign users, that is aircraft outside the ranks of the Royal Air Force.
The Meteor was the first British jet fighter to go into series production. The F.4 version represented a post-war stage of development with Rolls-Royce Derwent 5 engines, a strengthened fuselage structure and, on the later batches, clipped wingtips. Meteor F.4s were exported in some numbers and served, for example, with the air forces of Argentina, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Egypt, where they formed the basis of the first jet fighter units. The schemes of the foreign machines differ from the British ones both in shades and in the placement and form of the national insignia.
The base is the key to a good result. Apply the decals solely onto a smooth gloss varnish and not onto matte paint, otherwise air will be trapped under the carrier film and a matte border will form around the markings. Let the gloss coat cure properly, degrease the area and work with clean water and a fresh brush. Once dry, go over the decals with gloss varnish again and only then unify the whole model with a semi-matte or matte varnish to suit the look you want.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
